Zetdc regrets power outages

ZESA Holdings has apologised to its customers for power outages being experienced in some parts of the Harare.

ZESA Holdings had assured the nation that there will be minimal load shedding during the festive season following the rehabilitation of three units that were out of service at Kariba South Hydro Power Station.

But the power utility urged consumers to use the available electricity sparingly to reduce the effects of load shedding.

“The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) would like to apologise to its valued customers in Harare for the power outage due vandalism,” said ZESA in a statement yesterday.

“Areas affected are Nirvana Road Hatfield, Carrick Creagh Road, Walton Avenue, Quinnington Road and surrounding areas.

“ZETDC engineers and technicians are working to rectify the fault.”
