White commercial farmers in Zvimba South constituency have praised President Mnangagwa for his non-racial stance after embracing everyone in his development agenda regardless of race, colour or creed.

This came out during an engagement organised by Zanu-PF Zvimba South National Assembly candidate Cde Philip Chiyangwa with white commercial farmers held at Trelawney Training Centre recently.

Mr Jan Strydom of Nzira Farm said most farmers were overwhelmed by President Mnangagwa’s attitude towards white farmers.

He said most of the farmers would definitely vote for President Mnangagwa in the harmonised elections today.

“President Mnangagwa is loving us and we are feeling at home than ever before.

“We are all hoping to contribute immensely to the development of Zimbabwe,” he said.

Mr Robert Miller of Cloverly Farm said there was no need for Zimbabwe’s economy to collapse after Government introduced initiatives like Command Agriculture, which has proven to be a resounding success.

“We will all support ED as he had already supported us with many Government initiatives, which are designed to transform this country and it has now changed,” he said.

Zvimba District Administrator Mr Andrew Tizora urged all the white commercial farmers to embrace the new dispensation’s vision.

He commended the farmers for supporting infrastructural development programmes in Zvimba South.

“I appreciate all your efforts in developing this area.

“Some of you rehabilitated roads while some are involved in tackling challenges affecting schools and clinics in Zvimba,” he said.

Meanwhile, Cde Chiyangwa assured the white farmers that they would also benefit from Government’s land reforms and other Government initiatives.

“We cannot have unproductive land lying idle while we have people with capacity to utilise it so let us unite and bring back the glory of this country,” he said.

Cde Chiyangwa said Zanu-PF has an open door policy were  dialogue is the key to improve the welfare of all Zimbabweans.

“We are in the new dispensation that was ushered in by our progressive President, Cde E.D. Mnangagwa and we need to work together to develop our country so that we can all live in peace and harmony.

“I would like to assure you, your investment in all sectors is protected.

“We need to move away from the past era where some people lived as if they are not part of this country.”

He said most of the farmers were born in Zimbabwe and should benefit from all Government programmes.
