LONDON. — Arsene Wenger insists he has no plans to walk away from the Emirates this summer.

The Arsenal boss snapped when asked about his own future during yesterday’s Press conference, maintaining his stance that he will stay until the end of his current deal which expires in 2017.

“I do not want to come back on that, I respect always my contract,” said Wenger, who was then pressed if there was any chance he could go this summer. “Look, I’ve just answered your question.”

Arsenal are expecting over 50 000 to turn up for tonight’s English Premier League home clash with West Brom which kicks-off at 8:45pm, but it will be short of the 60 000 capacity at the Emirates.

It is more apathy than boycott as fans are voting with their feet after Arsenal’s title collapse and it is also on an unusual night and live on Sky Sports.

Gunners boss Wenger said: “Look, everybody is free to do what he wants with his season ticket. We have to live with that. It’s a Thursday night, it’s unusual (for a kick-off time).

“We just had a disappointing result at home, maybe that plays a part as well. First of all it’s not experienced yet and we have to live with that.

“Yeah, maybe (the disillusionment is more pronounced), but we have to take that with distance as well, and focus on our job.

“The emotional part in our game is always very high but changes very quickly as well. Judgment from people (is something) we have to live with. It’s down to us to change that belief and judgment.”

Arsenal’s England midfielder Jack Wilshere — who played against West Brom in the Under-21s on Monday – will not be in the squad but Wenger says he is available for selection against Sunderland on Sunday.

Wenger, who confirmed Santi Cazorla is now back in full training, said: “Jack has absorbed well his first obstacle of getting games. That means he has finally got 90 minutes and he has had no setbacks and the positives are that in every game he was sharper.

“That means he has a good fitness basis. Overall, the progression should be normal. I don’t think he will be available for selection (today), but from then it is whether I select him or not.

“Jack will be fit for England. The European Championship starts on June 10 and until then is nearly two months,” he said. — The Mirror.
