Afro-Jazz musician Victor Kunonga is working on videos for his latest album “Kwedu”, expected to be on the market soon. Kunonga said he has laid all the ground work for the DVD and his producer would soon announce the date of the release.

“We have worked on the videos but the person who knows the exact date of the release is my executive producer,” he said.

Tracks on the album are “Murume Murume”, “Tinotenda”, “Wagadzirira”, “Kushanda”, “Cheuka, Kure Kwatabva”, “Kumagobo”, “Ruzevha”, “Mhofu”, “Kwedu, Ruvengo” and “Ikhothab Eyikhothayo”.

He said he has put simple concepts for the videos which fans can relate to.

Kunonga has been staging sold out shows in and outside Harare.

In most of the shows the musician thrilled his fans with the latest album which is fast gaining popularity.

The musician showed his skills in playing instruments such as mbira and ngoma in most of his shows.

This coming Saturday Kunonga and Band Peace will perform at the Book Cafe.

The show is meant to celebrate the partnership between Book Cafe and an online music selling organisation Jive Zimbabwe.

The two have partnered and will see patrons and other people buying music online at the venue.

Jive Zimbabwe director Benjamin Nyandoro said the show was meant to celebrate the latest achievement.

“Artistes and music lovers should join us in celebrating this partnership because we are trying to make everything accessible,” he said.

He said people could now use other facilities such as eco cash to buy music online.

“All these facilities will be there on the Book Cafe so that people will have easy access to the music” said Nyandoro.
