Veteran journalist Freedom Moyo dies

away in the early hours this Tuesday morning at West End Hospital where he was being treated for injuries sustained in a car accident on Saturday morning. Mourners are currently gathered at Flat No 21, Farai Court, Baines Avenue in Harare.

Family spokesperson and brother to the deceased, Mr. Agent Moyo, said a funeral service will be held around 5pm at Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour before the body is ferried to Esigodini for burial. Mr. Moyo said the burial will be tomorrow at Habane Township in Esigodini. Born on August 18, 1974 in Plumtree, Freedom did his primary education at Mkhayeni and Mvuthu Primary schools. He then proceeeded to

Mvuthu Secondary in Esigodini where he completed his secondary education. He worked as a bureau chief for Matebeleland South province before he was transferred to Harare to take up the post of Manager Bulletins. He was moved to Manager Current Affairs in 2011, a post he held until his death. Freedom is survived by four children, three daughters and a son.-Herald/ZBC
