Zanu PF’s United Kingdom District is weeding out infiltrators who have been causing divisions within the ruling party’s ranks in the Diaspora.

The party’s UK/EU district chairman Cde Masimba Tawengwa said there had been an influx of G40 members.

Cde Tawengwa said Lloyd Msipa was one of those who had been expelled for undermining the party leadership.

“We have been witnessing a lot of wayward behaviour spearheaded by rogue elements in the party and we have, through our security department, identified the infiltrators who are working with a gang of G40 members who are trying to take control of the party district, particularly after Cde Nick Mangwana left,” he said.

“No bona fide Zanu PF member is indisciplined to the point of disobeying the authority of a person such as the party’s secretary for Administration Dr Obert Mpofu, who is entrusted by the First Secretary, President Mnangagwa to be in charge of party affairs.

“We have seen some Zanu PF UK district members just doing that and it is unacceptable.”

Cde Tawengwa said Msipa had since joined fugitive former Cabinet minister Walter Mzembi’s new political party as interim secretary-general.

The district’s secretary for administration Cde Xavier Zavare said the party’s structures in the UK were protecting its integrity.
