Old Skool music masters Too Open will tomorrow have their third session at La Rouge in Westgate.

The group is known for playing cover versions of classic old skool hits and their shows are popular with mature crowds. They have been given Saturday sessions at La Rouge and attendance to the shows promises to grow, if the figures at the previous gigs are anything to go by.

The La Rouge sessions have introduced the group to new followers and tomorrow they are expected to also sample songs from their upcoming album.

Spokesperson of the group Owen Shamu said they are glad to have a new home for their Saturday shows.

“The Saturday slots promise to be exciting shows. So far we have done two Saturdays and the response is promising. We want to make La Rouge our home and we want all those that enjoy old skool music to come,” said Shamu.

“We will be doing cover versions of popular hits of all genres. We will also have a segment when patrons will be allowed to request for songs they want us to play. We will make sure that everyone is entertained.

“We are working on a new album that will be released soon and we will also have time to sample the new songs.

It will be a mixed bag of music and everyone will get something to smile about.”

La Rouge manager Spencer Sahumani said the group promises to have a popular slot.

“They have only performed here twice, but the response is encouraging.

Patrons are talking about them and we know that if we maintain this slot we will have greater response,” said Sahumani.
