South African television and talk show presenter Kgomotso Matsunyane says she enjoyed her stay in the country and described the nation as peaceful place that is convenient for entertainment and business.

The presenter, who is a former editor of The Oprah Magazine and a former SABC 1 Commissioning Editor for a Drama, made these revelations at the Vault Cosmetic launch, held at Barbours over the weekend.

Matsunyane said she was excited to come for the launch as Zimbabwe was like her second home.

“I would like to congratulate Jackie for a job well done, having something that Zimbabweans can relate to. Make-up is like a girl’s best friend, a necessity. I have also witnessed how Zimbabwean women love their make-up,” she said.

Matsunyane, who is the head of consultancy for BET, said it is her job to make sure local content is represented on the channel too.

“As a consultancy, we are touring different countries and making sure all countries’ content is represented on the channel. I have noticed some great changes in Zimbabwe. I was groomed here under Rumbi Katedze’s Wise Up show,” she said.

The presenter left the country yesterday and promised to come back for business soon.

Speaking to Herald Entertainment, Vault founder Jackie Muchanyuka Mgido said she was happy with the turnout.

“I am so excited with the overwhelming response from locals. Everything came out as planned,” she said.

Mgido — a Hollywood make-up artiste, said the launch was a stepping stone for her business.

“My dream is to see Vault Cosmetics dominating the whole of Africa. Make-up business is my life. I am currently working on the next project that will see Zimbabwe benefiting. I am happy the co-operate world has responded so well,” she said.

The launch attracted top socialites, celebrities and musicians. Fans were treated to free make-up.
