ZDF Queens coach, Joel Sibanda, is bracing for the last Premier Netball League games scheduled for next week, in Beitbridge.

His side are fourth on the table behind leaders Platinum Queens, Harare City and Rhinos.

The league games are being played in a bubble, with teams converging at one venue, and the next stop is Beitbridge, on the weekend of November 27 and 28.

“We expect to win all the games, we want to beat those teams we lost to,’’ said Sibanda.

“They won’t beat us this time around, we would want to finish among the top sides.

“We are prepared for the bubble but the other bubbles we played in were a bit difficult, with the absence of some of our players, who were in Namibia.

“And, the teams we were meeting had all their players except Platinum, who were also missing some of their players.’’

Shooters Sharon Bwanali and Tafadzwa Matura, defender Beatrice Busu and Patricia Mauladi were part of the national team in Namibia for the Pent Series and Africa Netball Cup. “The players we had tried their best, in the absence of some of the regular player, they did well,’’ said Sibanda.

“I am happy with the progress they made since we were missing some players.

“We lost three games and all of them were during the period we were missing some of our regular players, who were in Namibia.

“We lost two games in the first bubble and one in the second bubble.

“But, when we went for the Masvingo bubble, they had gained confidence and we didn’t lose any match. “In Beitbridge, I expect more because we will have our full team.

“My only worry is that the players who were in Namibia will not have enough rest.

“They played many games and are travelling by road.’’ Some of the teams they will face are Platinum Queens, Rhinos, Harare City and Goldreef. PNL public relations and media officer, Yeukai Muchenu, said they were taking a break this weekend.

“The fourth bubble is our last bubble. We will have it in Beitbridge, that’s when we will crown our champions,” said Muchenu.
