Since 2008 when she ventured into music, gospel singer Letty Chiwara (pictured right) has not been reaping enough from music as the market was turning a deaf ear towards her. Her passion for music kept on pushing her and she released three albums, namely “Mbiri Ndeyenyu”, “Vesai Moto” and the latest “Second Chance”.

Her patience and endurance are finally paying off as some of the songs from her last albums are receiving a warm welcome in the music market. She collaborated with Rev Togarepi Chivaviro on the song “Matestimony”, which is the most popular.

In the worship song, the musician tells the world how God has changed lives and on YouTube it has been getting viewership with positive comments.

The videos were shot in South Africa by Slim Magombedze, who is widely known as Slimaz.

On some of the songs from the album, she worked with producer Prosper Makonese and Ifeanyi from Nigeria bringing various beats and flavours.

In an interview, Chiwara said she was encouraged by the response of the latest album and was working on videos for other songs. “Finally, people are appreciating my music basing on the charts and views of the videos. I want to thank God for that. We are encouraging people to love the word of God through music,” she said.

She said the song “Matestimony” was a personal experience as God had done wonders in her life.

“My personal experience inspired the song. I have realised that every person has a testimony in life. That is my wish to have everyone praising God through the song,” she said.

She said she was working on a DVD that will be released anytime this year.

“I have first released two videos ‘Matestimony’ and ‘Zvakadaro’, but we are now working on a full DVD for the whole album. We pray to God that people will appreciate them,” she said.
