CHIREDZI FC have warned Triangle not to expect any favours in their Castle Lager Premiership tie when the two sides clash in a Lowveld derby at Chishamiso on Sunday.

Gishon Ntini’s Chiredzi have been relegated while Triangle desperately need a victory to keep their hopes of survival alive ahead of their final game against Shabanie.

Triangle won the reverse fixture at Gibbo 3-0, courtesy of a Nhamo Lameck hat-trick.

Since the arrival of Kelvin Kaindu, as technical adviser, Triangle have picked seven out of a possible nine points in their three games.

But they have injury concerns.

Zimbabwe international left-back Blessing Chimwamuchere has been out with a knee injury since July and Nelson Merson (groin), Courage Denias (hip), Jimmy Dzingai (foot), Chasten Ngondonga (hip) and Charles Makoto (groin) are also injured.

Coach Biggie Zuze said they fancied their chances.

“Everyone is motivated by the derby and it’s a game everybody has been waiting for. These types of games are for the fans and I hope both teams will play an entertaining brand of football,” said Dube.

“Anyone can win but the bottom line is that the fans must enjoy.

“There are players who represented Triangle who are now at Chiredzi and they will obviously have one or two points to prove and that will make it more interesting.”

Zuze saluted Kaindu’s input.

“We are fortunate to be with technical adviser Kelvin Kaindu who has already been of great importance in our quest for survival,” said Zuze.

Gishon Ntini, the Chiredzi FC coach, said they were not there to donate points.

“It’s going to be a father-son affair because I have got nothing to prove,” said Ntini.

“I am the one who made them to be where they are today and it’s just unfortunate that they are not playing well.

“I hope they will improve in our game because I am not going to shake hands with them and give them three points.”
