THE Zanu-PF Midlands Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) will introduce the party’s winning candidates to members and launch the election campaign for the province.

The party’s provincial chairman Engineer Daniel Mackenzie Ncube, who will represent the party in the Kwekwe Senatorial seat after giving way to youth wing member Cde Edmore Samambwa in Zhombe constituency, said the PCC has been slated for this Saturday.

He said the PCC will be held at the Zanu-PF Gweru Winery Conference centre along Mvuma Road.

“We are having our Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting in Gweru on Saturday where we are going to introduce the party’s winning candidates and launch the election campaign.

“This is a very important PPC meeting for the province and the party as we map a way forward towards the harmonised elections pencilled for July,” said Eng Ncube.

He said it was now time for losing and winning candidates at the just -ended primary elections to start working together so that the province wins all the 29 constituencies for President Mnangagwa.

“Right now we have 27 constituencies out of the 29 and we want to reclaim the remaining two, which are Gweru Urban and Mkoba constituencies and therefore, there is need to cover every ground in terms of campaigning and mass mobilisation,” said Eng Ncube.

The PCC meeting, Eng Ncube said, will see the province launching its election campaign in preparation for the forthcoming harmonised elections following the launch of the party’s manifesto last week.

“The party launched the manifesto in Harare last week and we are taking it to the district, wards and cells so that we cover every ground as we mobilise voters ahead of the harmonised elections.

“We still have the target of reaching 800 000 voters before the harmonised elections,” said Eng Ncube.
