Mboma rallies Warriors Eddie “Mboma” Nyatanga

ZIMBABWE soccer supporters leader Eddie “Mboma “ Nyatanga has called for unity and for the nation to rally behind the Warriors by filling the National Sports Stadium to capacity tomorrow. The Warriors stand on the threshold of securing their third qualification to the African Cup of Nations finals when they host Malawi in a penultimate qualifier. “My plea to everyone is let us put our club affiliations aside, let us put any other differences, religious or political, aside and let’s head to the National Sports Stadium to be part of the history that is set to unfold.”

Nyatanga said the Warriors have a proud record of having never lost to Malawi at the National stadium.

“This is it.

“We know that our qualification will also depend on what happens in Swaziland but I know that our boys want to do the job themselves and not wait for any team to do them favours.

“Let us all help them win this for the country, for you, for me and for themselves,” said Nyatanga.

Nyatanga said the fans should not put unnecessary pressure on the players should they fail to find early goals.

“In a football match the goals might come right at the end, so let us be patient with the coach and his players.

“So far Pasuwa and his soldiers have not disappointed us and we have no reason to doubt them.

“We actually have every reason to back them from start to finish. We are top of our group and we want to finish top and together we can,” said Nyatanga.

He hailed stability up by ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa and the financial support injected into the senior team by the Harare property mogul’s partner Wicknell Chivayo.
