Mayor invites Chitongo to tea

Masunda on Monday.
Mr Chitongo carried out the demonstration along Sam Nujoma Street Extension.
Mr Masunda invited the media to witness the meeting which he said was meant to demonstrate his open-door policy.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the media for highlighting the lone demonstration by Mr Chitongo,” he said yesterday.

“I have invited him for tea on Monday morning at 9 o’clock and you are also free to attend the meeting.”

The city was still to work on the trench, although a warning sign had been erected yesterday. Mr Chitongo caused a stir with his lone demonstration as he simulated “fishing” from the trench that had been left unattended for a year.
He erected a banner inscribed “Masunda Mayoral Fish Pond, First Anniversary.”
