AN 18-YEAR-OLD Mhondoro woman fatally stabbed her boyfriend in Headlands after discovering his wife’s text messages in his mobile phone.
Manicaland assistant provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Luxon Chananda confirmed the incident which occurred on Saturday last week.
He identified the deceased as Action Magarire of Gomo Village under Chief Mashava in Kadoma.
Asst Insp Chananda said police arrested Cecilia Mutami of Mapfumo Village under Chief Murambwa in connection with the murder case.

Magarire, who was employed as a casual worker at Landos Farm in Headlands, had been cohabiting with Mutami for two weeks.
On February 21 Mutami discovered some text massages in Magarire’s mobile phone that were sent by his wife.

It is reported that a misunderstanding ensued and degenerated into a fistfight.
Mutami allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Magarire once in the chest.
He collapsed and died from bleeding.
