Mafikizolo thrills fans

SOUTH AFRICAN musical group Mafikizolo thrilled crowds when it performed at Belgravia Sports Club over the weekend, supported by local acts Sniper Storm, Tehn Diamond, Junior Brown and BaShupi. The highlight of the show was when Mafikizolo performed the hit “Khona” twice, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

But the group ended the gig just before midnight when the crowd still wanted more.
Mafikizolo chose their repertoire well. It included popular songs such as “Emlanjeni”, “Happiness” and “Sibongile”.

The songs were well-received by the fans who asked for more from the group.
Dressed in pink outfits, Nhlanhla Nciza and Theo Kgosinkwe who make up the group Mafikizolo, proved that they are popular in Zimbabwe considering the large crowd that attended the show.

Circus Night Club hosted the after party, where fans had a time of their lives mixing and mingling with Nhlanhla and Theo.
Zimbabwean supporting acts Junior Brown and Tehn Diamond revved up the audience with their duet on songs “Happy” and “Madrinks”.
Sniper and BaShupi were also well-received, with Sniper exuding great confidence and energy on stage.

BaShupi sang mostly from cover versions, choosing songs such as Stunner’s “Godo” and popular traditional song “Chocolate”.
