Despite the chilly weather, revellers are spoilt for choice this weekend.

For those who love the rhumba music, tonight all roads lead to the EastPoint venue where some of the local acts are set to perform headlined by Juntal.

The event is being hosted by Mungo Promotions in conjunction with M25 in a bid to promote the upcoming musicians, especially in Chitungwiza.

The seasoned musician self-proclaimed rhumba king will also be joined by Mufasa Captain of Rumba, Nduna, Jamilie Benjy T, Milz Jazz Band among others.

Show promoter Oliver Mutafera, affectionately known as Tafera, said they have started with the rhumba night because they want to revive the genre and make it appreciated even by the younger generation.

“We have started with Juntal to headline the Rhumba Night tonight and will be supported by the young upcoming musicians,” he said.

“So far there are 25 upcoming artistes who come and record their music. We cover all genres, we give them access to studio time for free and then when they are ripe, we then give them a chance to showcase their talent.”

He said they have a band that plays for all genres depending on their theme for the day.

On another note sungura maestro Alick Macheso is continuing with his tour and this weekend, he will be in Bulawayo.

“We are ready for the show as a band of the people.

I want to thank all my fans for supporting me on behalf of Orchestra Mberikwazvo.

“Thank you for standing by me. We are coming to Eyardine Park in Bulawayo as we will also give you a sample of the new album,” he said via social media post.

For Zimdancehall lovers, Redcliff tonight hosts Killer T as he celebrates the birthday of Boss Madro.

He will be supported by DJ Daxx, DJ Squndah and Mc Tkay among others.

Tomorrow Killer T will then share the stage with Freeman and Seh Calaz at Siketaal Wayside Inn in Chipinge.

Poptain and Jah Master will be performing at Club Wandi in Warren Park.
