‘Let’s bid former leader farewell in numbers’ Cde Khaya Moyo

ZANU-PF has urged Zimbabweans to come in their numbers and bid farewell to former President Cde Robert Mugabe. Zanu-PF secretary for Information Cde Simon Khaya Moyo said provinces have been allocated days to view the body of  Cde Mugabe.

“People across the country started paying final respects yesterday. Yesterday saw five provinces namely, Harare, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West, Mashonaland Central and Manicaland bidding farewell to the iconic leader,” he said.

“Today is set aside for Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Midlands and Masvingo provinces, and the provinces have been advised accordingly.

On Saturday, international guests would be afforded an opportunity to bid farewell to the national hero at the National Sports Stadium.

President Mnangagwa is expected to address mourners on Saturday at the National Sports Stadium.

The burial of the former President is expected to take place on Sunday at a venue to be agreed on by the State and the Mugabe family.

Finer details of former President Mugabe’s funeral would be known after a meeting between President Mnangagwa and former First Lady Grace Mugabe.
