The grace of God enables one to know moments that matter in life in order to utilise them effectively.
King Solomon is regarded as the wisest man who ever lived. In 1 Kings 3:9, Solomon knew just what to ask for when he got an encounter with God.
He asked for wisdom to govern the people in his kingdom.
It is important to treasure every moment in the presence of great people. It must be a moment of impartation.
When given the opportunity, make an effort to introduce yourself and ask the relevant questions. Greatness is like the wind, it surrounds us all the time. Significant achievers know that it is crucial to consult others before making a major decision as evidenced by Proverbs 15:22.
Before venturing into an area of interest, ask yourself the following questions:
l Who has done what I want to do?
l Who has made remarkable success in that area?
When you have identified the people, schedule appointments to find out how they made it.
Even if the appointments appear difficult to materialise, always remember that “there is always a way for a carrier of good news”.
Moreover, there is nothing new under the sun and it is not always necessary to reinvent the wheel. Therefore, locate those who have made it in your area of interest. Having examples of those who have made it helps you to demystify that which appears difficult.
Know how to conduct yourself before great people. Following protocol determines whether you get a second invitation or not. Obadiah in 1 Kings 18:7 demonstrates how to apply the concept. Do less talking in order to allow the smooth flow of impartation because the anointing flows downwards.
Take time to do all the necessary preparations prior to making an appearance before great people. Do all that is fit to enhance your presentation. Pharaoh in Genesis 41:14 sent for Joseph who was in prison. Notably, Joseph shaved himself and changed his clothes because he knew that standing before the king could mark the beginning of a transformation in his life. In Ruth 3:3, Naomi instructed Ruth her daughter-in-law to bath, put on her best perfume and to wear her best clothes before going down to the threshing floor to spend the night in the presence of her prospective spouse, Boaz.
