Dancehall artiste Killer T snubbed fellow musician Kinna’s album launch Kinna on Saturday at Mbare Netball Complex.

Killer T was billed to perform at the event.

Sources close to the Mbare-bred chanters said their relations turned sour in May after Kinna failed to attend Killer T’s album launch.

“Killer T’s camp were clear after Kinna failed to attend their album launch that they will not be part of his launch,” he said.

He said there could be a beef between the two artistes who are fast rising.

“They are failing to work together and we will soon have another tug of war between these two musicians,” he said.

Kinna confirmed the issue, saying they informed Killer T about their launch three weeks before.

“We informed them about a month ago that we would be launching our album ‘Chakatyokera’ surprisingly they did not turn up for the event,” he said.

He however, rubbished reports that the two were not in good books.

“I don’t hate any artiste. It is just unfortunate that he failed to make it to our album launch,” he said.

Killer T’s manager Brian Bimma Marukutira said they had other commitments elsewhere and could not attend the two shows.

“We had shows in Mt Pleasant and Marondera. We have heard that people are saying we are retaliating, but that is not the case,” he said.

But Killer T’s Facebook page shows a statement on 24 June declaring that he would not be performing at the launch showing that the failure to turn up on the day was not really a matte

“With all due respect to our fans, Killer T will not be performing at Kinna’s album launch to be held on the 4th of July. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience,” reads the
