Kendrick Lamar is having a good year and Wednesday’s telecast of the BET Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers 2013 shows the West Coast freshman has a bright future. A few months ago, K-Dot made headlines for his verse on Big Sean’s single “Control” where he went hard at several of his pairs including Drake, J. Cole, Meek Mill, Mack Miller, and more.

The BET Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers was no different, Kendrick Lamar literally took on every other artistes on the Cyphers, but was especially hard on Drake.

“Nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control/And’ tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes,” Kendrick Lamar raps.
“Your s**t never penetrates/Pin the tail on the donkey, boy you been a fake.”

“I got my thumb on hip-hop/And my foot in the back of your a– /I spilled blood on my apron cooking this up” and “Hold up, wait a minute/ Your career ain’t s**t unless you got some Kendrick in it,” the Compton emcee raps.

Kendrick Lamar also won awards for Lyricist of the Year, Album of the Year, MVP of the Year and best verse for “F**in’ Problems.”
The BET Cyphers also saw strong showing from the likes of Lil Kim, A$AP Mob, TDE, Slaughterhouse, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. — Urban Islandz.
