NATIONAL Rugby League chairman Nody Kanyangarara says the league will not have any more breaks when it resumes next weekend.
The league had been inactive because some players were part of the Zimbabwe team that tried, and failed, to qualify for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
“We are happy that the games will resume on August 23 and we believe the games will be non-stop, we are not going to have any breaks till the end of the second round of the league.

“We are hopeful that most teams are ready after a long break and gave themselves a good opportunity to improve,” said Kanyangarara.
Mutare Sports Club coach Blessing Mwale says the extended break has helped them to work on their weaknesses.

“We have been working on new strategies, we have been perfecting our scrummaging and forwards.
“We also did strength and conditioning and we still have up to August 22 so we are going to continue training to ensure all is polished up.

“We have reached a stage where we are no longer trying things, but executing our strategies to win. Everyone understands the game and I believe we will do better in the second round,” said Mwale.

Mutare started the season on a bad note when they suffered a huge 108-3 defeat at the hands of Old Georgians.
Two of their best players, flyhalf Sam Musayarira and fullback Ngoni Chibuwe, left to join the Sharks Academy.

Zvishavane chairman John Mkandawire also expects his bottom-placed team to do better in the final part of the season.
