At  the funeral of Oliver Mtukudzi, Pastor Charles Charamba advised local musicians to keep on supporting Pakare Paye as a way of keeping the late musician’s legacy alive.

Musicians Jah Prayzah and Mbeu seem to be taking heed of Charamba’s advice as they have taken a step to stage the first gig at the place since Mtukudzi’s death.

They will share the stage at Pakare Paye tomorrow.

The event has been dubbed Valentine’s Gig and it will be part of many shows that have been lined up to celebrate love this weekend.

Mbeu was nurtured at Pakare Paye and he is yet to disappoint. Recently he performed at Mtukudzi memorial services that were held in South Africa leaving the legend’s fan base satisfied. The musician’s manager Eugene Museredza said they were ready to take fun-loving people into love mood in style.

“We have to celebrate Dr Tuku’s life because he was a loving father, and he used to encourage us too to be loving husbands. That is something worth celebrating,” he said. Jah Prayzah took his social media sites to encourage couples to come wearing African Attire as a way of honouring Mtukudzi.

Tungamidzai Simango a member of Tuku board said the gig will be held in honour of the late national hero who was a loving father and husband who would celebrate love through songs.
