GIANTS Highlanders are expecting a colourful and capacity crowd for the blockbuster clash with CAPS United at Barbourfields this Sunday.

This follows the decision by their sponsors NetOne to effect a 50 percent ticket discount for all football supporters.

Bosso chief executive Nhlanhla Dube yesterday said the clash between the two giants, who share a common sponsor, is a celebration of the $1.4m deal they signed with the mobile telecommunications network provider last week.

NetOne announced yesterday supporters who buy their tickets using their OneMoney mobile money service will get a discount under their “Let’s go 50-50” promotion.

Gate charges for the match have been pegged at $5 for the rest of the ground, $10 Wings and $20 VIP.

“This is a celebration of our partnership with NetOne. Our sponsors have announced that anyone who pays using their OneMoney mobile platform will get this discount and because of that more people will come since it effectively means the cheapest ticket will cost $2.50.

“So, we envisage a very colourful day and a vociferous atmosphere in the terraces. It’s good for our club, it’s good for our sponsors and it’s also good for our game in general.

“NetOne have just become the biggest brand in local football.

“We didn’t have so many friendly matches during the pre-season so most of our fans are yet to see how our project is shaping up.

‘’This is our first home game, it’s an opportunity for them to come and gauge for themselves and for that matter you cannot ask for a better opponent than CAPS United,” said Dube.

The Bosso boss threw his full support behind their coaches.

“I believe our coaches are preparing the team the best way they know and come Sunday we hope for the best football.

‘’We have a young squad with an average age of 23 years and it shows the kind of ambition that we have as a club.

“We are growing a squad that we expect will be together for the coming years and we also have to demonstrate that we have grown a rung up from where we were last season,’’ said Dube.
