From today until Tuesday, merrymakers will be spoilt for choice as many entertainment events have been lined up for the weekend as well as Heroes and Defence Forces days. The major highlight will be comedian Anne Kansiime’s show at Harare International Conference Centre tomorrow night while tonight sungura kingpin Alick Macheso announces his return from a tour of the United Kingdom with a show at Warren Park 1 Bar.At HICC Kansiime will be supported by fellow Ugandan Cotilda Inapo and South Africa-based Baba Tencen as well as the local team of Q-The Boss and Probeatz.

Organisers of the show, Xtratime Entertainment have put everything in place for the show that is dubbed “Let’s Laugh Again ha-ha-ha-Harare”.

At Warren Park Bar Alick Macheso will be welcomed by Lady Storm aka Eriza and Faheem Somanje.

The “Gungwa” hit maker has been on top of the game since the release of his album “Tsoka Dzerwendo”.

His publicist Tich Makahamadze said the band was on fire and they were promising fireworks.

“The guys are in celebratory mood and a lot is expected on the show. We are looking forward to a good show,” he said.

The return of guitarist Noel Nyazanda, Obert Gomba and Jonasi Kasamba has brought life to the band as band members are fighting for “number 1” jersey.

London-based Zimbabwean singer-cum-producer Ryan Koriya performs at The Venue situated at number 23 Kenny Road in Avondale.

Dancehall artists converge at Mbare Netball Complex as they join Mbare musician Seh Calaz who celebrates his 26th birthday with an all-white party courtesy of Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation.

Among the artistes to perform at the event are Killer T, Soul Jah Love and Dadza D.

Jazz 24/7 hosts Victor Kunonga and his Band Peace together with upcoming Mbeu and the Mhodzi Tribe while another upmarket venue The Volt hosts Reggae Band Transit Crew.

Club Gunners in Mufakose hosts Talking Guitars and Tendai Chimombe continues with the revival of her father’s legacy with a performance at Mhizha Bar in Budiriro.

Gary Tight will perform at Club Las Vergas in Southerton.

Bulawayo is on fire tonight as the city hosts Award-winning and triple platinum selling South African house group Mi Casa that will be sharing stage with Guluva7, DJ Stavo, Alaina, Mzoe7, Victor Bravo and Asaph at Amphitheatre,

Saturday

Moto Republik in Belgravia hosts a heroes special gig that features several DJs that include DJ Eve, Tony G, Quincy and ZI Mixmasters.

ZBC embarks on a road show tomorrow at Chitungwiza Town Centre where actors and actress from popular production “Wenera” will take part. Fans will have a chance to mingle with the cast and get various prizes during the show which begins at 10am.

Club Joy Centre that has become home to many musicians and located at Machipisa Shopping Centre in Highfield hosts Zaka Zaka and his Chilli Boys. Dzimbanhete Arts Interactions, situated near Lion and Cheetah Park, hosts a mbira show, that will see several top mbira artistes among them Benita Tarupiwa, Mbira Dzenhapitapi, Joyce Warikandiwa and Chipo Wazara performing.

Chez Zandi Restaurant hosts Back to Jazzics and several performers are expected to be performing at the event.

Legends Sports Dinner in Marondera hosts Willom and Gary Tight with award winning promoter Daniel Masaiti saying it was upon their patrons request to have the Tight Family at his venue.

“We have been doing everything for our patrons and this time they requested for the Tight Family to come and perform. We are happy to be hosting the two who have contributed to the development of music in Zimbabwe,” he said.

The promoter has been hailed for his commitment to have upcoming and forgotten musicians perform at his venue.

Monday

The Club Plaza De Castila Greencoft hosts an all-white party while Nicholas Zakaria will be performing at Club Joy Centre.

Tuesday

All roads lead to the National Sports Stadium for the Defence Forces day with several musicians that include Alick Macheso expected to perform.
