LONDON. — Arsene Wenger has reportedly told Arsenal forward Joel Campbell to find a new club.

According to Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo, La Liga outfit Valencia are interested in the Costa Rican — who has been told to leave either on loan or permanently.

With Gunners fans already clamouring for their club to sign a new striker, the willingness to let the attacker go could mean that the north Londoners have found someone to bolster the area.

Arsenal have been linked with the likes of Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain and Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi in recent weeks, but a move for either player does not appear to be close.

Arsenal are also ready to steal Carlos Bacca from under West Ham’s noses as their hunt for a striker goes on.

Wenger’s pursuit of Higuain has run into complications, with Serie A giants Juventus willing to spend big to land him.

The French boss is still desperate to land a new centre-forward after missing out on Jamie Vardy earlier in the summer but options are now few and far between.

Mauro Icardi and Alexandre Lacazette have been suggested as potential options but Arsenal are now considering the cheaper alternative of Carlos Bacca, according to The Telegraph.

The AC Milan striker seemed close to a move to West Ham after holding talks with the club but the former Sevilla man has now hinted he wants to play Champions League football.

With Arsenal able to offer that and in need of an attacker, the 29-year-old Colombian could prove to be the ideal signing. — Metro.
