Musicians Douglas Chimbetu and Progress Chipfumo will tonight join forces as they perform at the City Sports Bar.

Dubbed “Independence Eve Special” the two musicians will also share the stage with a popular musical group the Talking Guitars.

Both musicians have promised fireworks and vowed to usher Zimbabweans into the Independence celebratory mood.

Douglas said he will also take the opportunity to sample his fourth album to be released anytime soon.

“We have been rehearsing for this independence show and we are urging all the Dendera fans to come in their numbers as we will be ushering them into the independence celebrations,

“I am currently in the studio working on my fourth album to be released anytime soon, so I will also take the opportunity to sample some of the new tracks on the album,” he said.

Progress also promised a fun filled night.

“Everyone is going to be in a celebratory mood since the country will be celebrating 35 years of Independence, so we are promising a top notch performance, you know when you are in a celebratory mood you know what happens, fireworks,” he said.

Divine Assignments events manager Ronny Bere said they are looking forward to a great show since they have considered a number of issues before coming up with the show.
