currently riding on a wave of success with his latest offering “Sizohlangana KuFcebook”, will have in tow a number of Harare DJs who are expected to add local flavour to the gig.
Some of the local DJs are Devante,  Khaos, Smallz and Fitzroy, who are all popular with club going fans.
The quartet, which is now a force to reckon with in nightclub circles, is likely to draw a large crowd because they are up to date with what is happening around the globe.
DJ Cleo is expected in the country today in the afternoon, ahead of his much-hyped show later in the evening.
Show organiser, Barbara “Mama Red Rose Chikosi, said the group led by Cleo — who is no new comer to Harare’s showbiz — are expected to rock Harare until the early hours of              Friday morning, in what promises to be a thrilling en- counter.
“DJ Cleo is one of the best DJs in the region when it comes to live entertainment. He was here some few months ago, but his fans begged us to bring him back again for yet another show,” he said.
DJ Cleo also known as Mr Es’Khaleni is popular for his tracks “Mzimba Shaker” and “Bhampa Side 2 Side”, among others.
A reputable producer and songwriter, he has literally held live shows in almost every country in the region, and has proved to be a hit with both young and mature revellers who enjoy their music.
DJ Cleo is also known for his track “Casanova” which was banned by SABC on its release. “Casanova” talks about a man who sleeps around with different women and promotes the value of circumcision, but not abstinence or safe sex.
DJ Cleo, who hails from South Africa’s Gauteng East Rand, began his musical career at the tender age of 10.
Having Marabi styles close to his heart, and being a bass player, Cleo sought out programming and engineering skills, even doing a stint at Allenby Campus on sound engineering, as he pursued a new concept in musicianship, that being the marriage of musical instrumental, programming and engineering skills.
A fortunate meeting with another South African, Ashifa Shabba, afforded him the opportunity to work in radio at Y FM.
Cleo found producing for radio a natural extension of himself, and soon was exploring the producing full music for both himself and others.
Cleo’s debut recording was “Will of Steel”  which featured on the DJ Glen Lewis and DJ Fresh’s “Gatecrasher double CD compilation.
The release was in real terms a great success for Cleo, and genuinely a portent of things to come, as soon he was producing and composing more and more music for more and more people.
In fact, whilst it would be a while before DJ Cleo would see his own debut album released, the proceeds from “Will of Steel” provided the wherewithal to start Will of Steel Productions (Pty) Ltd, his wholly owned label, production house and publisher, and many hits were first to follow.
