DESPITE having twice beaten Triangle in league meetings this season, favourites Dynamos are still wary of the threat posed by the Sugar Sugar Boys when the two sides clash in the One Wallet Cup at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday. Dynamos will start as favourites to add the One Wallet Cup to their array of titles on the strength of their experience and dominance in head-to-head meetings against Triangle.

But Dynamos team manager Richard Chihoro insisted last night that Triangle would not make it any easier for them.
“It is our wish and the wish of our fans across the country that we should win the One Wallet Cup and any other Cup that is on offer in our league,” said Chihoro.

“But Cup games are tricky in nature . . . there is more money to be made and the players tend to give it more effort so I foresee a tight game.
“It will be just like what we saw against Shabanie Mine at Rufaro last Sunday, they were very difficult to break down.
“The fact that we have played Triangle twice before also means that they now know more about us and they can plan better in terms of trying to get their revenge.”

The Dynamos team manager also expressed surprise with Triangle’s lowly standing on the Premiership log table.
“Triangle is one team that really surprises me in terms of where they are on the log, I just can’t understand why they are so down there because they play very good football and they are

a quality side and our matches against them were also very close . . . maybe they have just not been lucky in most of the matches they have played”.
Biggie Zuze’s men are battling for Premiership survival as they sit just a place above the drop zone with 27 points from 24 games.

That poor return of points has left former Monomotapa coach Zuze under immense pressure from his club’s management amid indications that the ex Dynamos midfielder had been given a two-match ultimatum to win both of them or face the axe.

But on Sunday Triangle, who last weekend welcomed back striker Courage Denias from a long injury inspired lay off, will put behind their league woes as the plunge into the first major Cup final of their history

It is however, Triangle’s inexperience with Cup finals, which Chihoro hopes DeMbare can capitalise on at the National Sports Stadium.
“I think the pressure is more on them. We are now used to being favourites in any match that that we play in this country.

“I also think that our experience with such competitions like the Champions League has also taught us how to handle such matches like the one against Triangle on Sunday,’’ Chihoro said.

Dynamos have been going about their preparations for the final without coach Callisto Pasuwa who is in Cairo Egypt while the youthful pair of right back Blessing Moyo and Tatenda Mukuruva are only expected to resume training today, having travelled to Gaborone with the Young Warriors for an international friendly against Botswana’s Zebras on Tuesday.

Pasuwa flew out of Harare moments after guiding DeMbare to a hard fought 1-0 win over Shabanie in a league match at Rufaro to join other head coaches and the technical directors of national associations affiliated to the Confederation of African Football who are gathered in Cairo, for the Fifa/CAF Conference for National Coaches and Technical Directors — 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil.

According to CAF, the two-day gathering ,which opened on Tuesday, also provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences among participants geared towards the development of the African game to an appreciable level.

Participants will also be taken through topics such as the trends in modern football and its impact for coaching and training as well as medical matters at the World Cup and beyond.
The instructors during the two-day conference included Fifa technical director Jean-Paul Brigger, Abdel Moneim Hussein, the CAF Technical Director and Massimo Busacca the Fifa head of Refereeing.

This is the fourth time the conference is being organised after the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Fifa World Cups.
