Manyame Rural District Council’s Kunaka Clinic last weekend received groceries, blankets, walking aids and other medical supplies worth $1 million from Johanne Masowe Chishanu eCanaan leader Madzibaba Simba Nengomasha.

Kunaka Clinic serves over 60 000 people from 18 wards in Seke constituency.

Madzibaba Simba challenged churches to take a leading role in helping societies overcome challenges they are facing.

“As Johanne Masowe Chishanu based at Canaan Chitungwiza, we have thought of giving to schools, hospitals, orphans and widows. The church should be seen taking a lead role in helping those in need,” he said.

“Let us unite to resolve the challenges in the country. Let us find solutions to those challenges as we pray so that God hears our prayers,” he said.

Madzibaba Simba also encouraged worshippers to pray for the nation.

Seke constituency MP Cde Munyaradzi Kashambe welcomed the gesture.

“I am delighted by the gesture, we thank Madzibaba Simba for helping the clinic. The goods will reduce the burden that authorities at the clinic have been shouldering for a very long time,” he said.

Sister-in-charge at the clinic Mrs Leslie Maliwati said: “Words cannot describe the joy this visit has put on us, we hope more people come and assist us in taking this clinic forward.”
