AFTER a morale-boosting 2-0 win over ZPC Kariba at Rufaro on Wednesday, Harare City coach Moses “Bambo” Chunga has challenged his charges to shift focus to their match against How Mine at Luveve on Sunday. Coming into Wednesday’s match against Sunday Chidzambwa’s men, the “Sunshine Boys” had struggled to find the winning formula. But somehow they found their touch to get the maximum points to complete a double over ZPC Kariba after having won the reverse fixture 1-0 in Kariba.

Chunga exuded confidence that his men will emerge victorious in the duel against How Mine. The coach watched his next opponents at Rufaro yesterday and then left about 30 minutes before the end, saying he had seen enough to craft his strategy.

“All the focus is now on our match against How Mine on Sunday. Of course, we are happy that we managed to win the match against ZPC Kariba but that is now water under the bridge.

“We are preparing hard for the match in Bulawayo. It is unfortunate that we have not been winning matches yet we have always been playing very well.

“We have dominated most of the matches which we played recently but somehow the goals have been eluding us and I hope the win against ZPC Kariba has lifted my players’ confidence.

“I have a lot of good players at my disposal and I think if we focus we will always come tops,” he said.

Harare City will be without their influential captain Francesco Zekumbawire, who is off to South Africa for a two-week trial stint.

Creative midfielder Ronald Chitiyo is also sidelined for Sunday’s game as he is nursing an injury.

Chunga said he would miss Zekumbawire’s services but said he has enough cover for the huge striker.
