FINE centuries from Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza, Bulawayo Metropolitan Tuskers totally dominated Harare Metropolitan Eagles in their second innings and were able to set the home side a virtually impossible target of 509 runs for victory in their Logan Cup match at Harare Sports Club. Play began on the third day with Tuskers 125 for two in their second innings, with Craig Ervine on 41 and Williams on 45 — in effect, 163 runs ahead with eight wickets still in hand.

Ervine reached his fifty first, off 109 balls, but Williams slashed the next delivery, from Waller, over the slips for four to reach his own landmark off 89 balls. Waller, losing accuracy as he tried to increase his pace, was expensive, his first two overs conceding 19 runs, including a no-ball. Williams reached 150 off 189 balls, but then, on 153, he leapt down the pitch for a big short against Tino Mutombodzi, and was smartly stumped. He faced 195 balls and hit a six and 21 fours.
