CAPS brace for tough tie

CAPS United are bracing for a tough away test against Chicken Inn at Luveve this afternoon. The Green Machine won a match outside Harare for the first time on their most recent outing to Chiredzi.
Three successive wins in their last assignments have given them renewed hopes in their campaign.

Assistant coach Mike Madzivanyika said they will not be fooled into complacency.

“Every game is a new game and it has its own challenges. Chicken Inn have been doing quite well of late and we know what to expect.

“But we will definitely do our best and try to collect maximum points. I am happy with the fighting spirit in the team which has helped us win matches in our recent assignments. It’s our hope that we will continue in the same vein,” said Madzivanyika.

The Green Machine have been doing well with Dominic Chungwa consistently leading the strike force.

Chicken Inn will not be easy customers, though. The Gamecocks are unbeaten in their last five games and are not far from the top with 20 points.

Their coach Joey Antipas said they are aiming to continue with their fine run.

“Everyone is available for selection and we will only be missing Mkhokeli Dube. He has gone to the States I think to sort out some papers there and should be back in about three weeks.

“But we still have some attacking players in the fold. We have been working more on our attack and creativity and hopefully we will come right,” said Antipas.
