Brenna warns DeMbare

vowed to make one last loud bang by denting Dy-namos’ championship aspirations at Rufaro on Sunday.
Kiglon joined Zimbabwe Saints in becoming the first two teams to be demoted from the Premiership after they remained ancho-red at the bottom of the table with 24 points.
Under normal circumstances, their fixture would have been a dead rubber with very little to write home about.

But this has not been an ordinary season and Kiglon will have a lot do with the destiny of the championship on Sunday.
With Dynamos tied on points with second-paced FC Platinum, it means the Glamour Boys, who put one hand on the big Premiership trophy after beating FC Platinum, cannot afford a last day slip-up and hand the title to the miners should the Moneybags overcome Shooting Stars who, like Kiglon , have been relegated.

It is against this background that Kiglon assistant coach Brenna Msiska yesterday warned DeMbare of the proverbial “last kicks of a dying a horse” and said the Harare giants had to brace for one of their toughest afternoons of the season.
The former Warriors assistant coach will take charge of Kiglon in their final Premiership assignment in the absence of head coach Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe who will be away with the Mighty

Warriors on national duty in Cairo, Egypt.
Jongwe has also not been feeling well of late.
On paper Dynamos are expected to run over their Division One bound opponents but Msiska said they should not expect the points on a silver platter.

“If they did it by winning the first leg it’s also possible that they can do it again. Dynamos have to fight for their honours.
“They shouldn’t expect any favours because there is nothing like that in football. If favours were permissible then we should not have been relegated. We should also have got those favours.
“We believe in the spirit of Fair Play and, as professionals, we are looking forward to the match.
“It has been on the fixtures and with all the interest surrounding this game I think it’s a chance for the players to shine and market themselves,” said Msiska.

The PSL management have organised a helicopter that will be hovering between Rufaro and Gwanzura with the Premiership trophy on Sunday as leaders log leaders Dynamos and title contenders FC Platinum plunge into the decisive games of an exciting season that ends this weekend.
Dynamos who assumed pole position this week will end their campaign against Kiglon at Rufaro on Sunday while second-placed FC Platinum date Shooting Stars at Gwanzura.

PSL chief executive Kenny Ndebele yesterday said they have made provisions for the trophy to be delivered to either side of the capital where champions will be crowned, as both teams still have a chance to win the title in an intriguing two-horse race.
“It has been a long and exciting journey of 232 football matches. We are now heading for the photo-finish. On Sunday 20 November 2011, a helicopter will be hovering in the sky ready to deliver the

Castle Lager Premiership Trophy,” said Ndebele.
Dynamos and FC Platinum are tied on 55 points but the Harare giants have an edge over their rivals as they enjoy a better goal difference.
DeMbare have a healthy difference of +25 while FC Platinum have +21 to their credit.

FC Platinum would need to score four goals more than Dynamos at Gwanzura, whatever the results.
In the event that the Glamour Boys beat Kiglon 1-0, then Rahman Gumbo’s men would need to win by a five-goal margin against Shooting Stars, something that the Wild Boys coach Tonderai Marume said would be unlikely.

Shooting Stars joined Kiglon and Zimbabwe Saints among the relegated when they lost 1-0 to CAPS United last Sunday, rendering their last match insignificant in their failed campaign.
“Let me stress that we are not going to play just for the sake of fulfilling a fixture since we have been relegated.
“Actually, we have discussed with the players that we should not change our attitude. The same approach that we had at the beginning is the same that we are going to carry into this game.

“If we had played to win all season then there is no reason why we should lower the gear now because football doesn’t end with relegation.
“We are still aiming to win this match and if it happens that we lose, we will have to go down with dignity,” said Marume.

But Kiglon who wrecked DeMbare’s championship hopes in 2009 have proven to be their bogey side and Callisto Pasuwa’s men should not expect an easy match.
The teams meet at a time when Dynamos have hit top form and finally found a way to win away from the capital.

DeMbare had not scored in the league competition outside Harare this season but they came right at the most crucial moment against FC Platinum at Mandava last Sunday with the goal that handed them the advantage in the title fight.
