Winning together is an aviation principle and as Air Zimbabwe, for 70 years we have embraced teamwork as a value that drives us daily. The leadership award is celebrated by all at Air Zimbabwe because the art of leadership is a shared role at the national airline. We are reminded yet again of the airline’s mandate in this economy and the confidence bestowed upon us by the people of this great nation. This award comes at a time when the Zimbabwe Agenda for Socio Economic Transformation is on a firm pedestal. The national leadership is relying on parastatal heads to champion the growth of the Zimbabwean economy amongst other things.

We take this recognition as a challenge to the national airline and we want to immortalise this award by ensuring that through aviation success we lead this economy towards prosperity.

We are pleased to inform the travelling public that we have introduced a second frequency on the Harare Johannesburg route from April 18 2016 and we will be reconnecting Harare with many international and regional cities in the third quarter of 2016.

The airline will be hosting two international aviation conferences this year (IATA Aviation Day May 18-19, AFRAA AGA November 20-22 2016) in the resort town of Victoria Falls to ensure that our economy benefits fully from international aviation.

We are also cognisant of the flagship nature of the organisation and as we take off, cruise and land in various destinations, we realise that we represent brand Zimbabwe.

The resilience of brand Zimbabwe, the hospitality of its people, the spirit of excellence and hard work will be synonymous of brand Air Zimbabwe.

The leadership award is not for Air Zimbabwe alone but for all our customers who have been loyal to the only birthright Airline Zimbabwe has. We celebrate this achievement and we are encouraged to soldier on and ensure Zimbabweans are economically emancipated through air connectivity.
