One of our favourite things when it comes to actors in films is seeing when an adult actor works with their child. We love when a mother and daughter or father and son work together. Check out these actors who have worked with their children in film and TV!

Brendan Gleeson

Brendan Gleeson first appeared in the Harry Potter series in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, the beloved yet crazy mentor for the main character. As dedicated Potter fans, we didn’t even realize that Brendan’s son later appeared with him in a Potter film. Domhnall Gleeson first appeared in the Harry Potter series as Bill Weasley in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The father-son duo appeared in the scene with the 7 Harrys where Mad-Eye’s plan was to use polyjuice potion in order to trick the Death Eaters and Voldemort.

Angelina Jolie

Angie has said one of the reasons Vivienne was Aurora in Maleficent was because all of the other children were too afraid to approach her when she was in full costume.

Jon Voight

It looks like Angie got working with your kids from her own dad!

The pair appeared together in the film that really helped launch Jolie’s career, Laura Croft: Tomb Raider.

Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada doesn’t let Will hog all the family fun! For her film, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa she was joined by her daughter, Willow, who voiced the younger version of her character Gloria.

Leslie Mann

This is either a fact you’ve known forever or never realized, but those little blonde girls who pop up in most of Leslie’s movies are her own kids! Her daughters, Iris and Maude Apatow have appeared in Knocked up, This is 40, and Funny People alongside of her.

Sylvester Stallone

By the time Rocky V came around, Sylvester decided to switch things up and bring one of his kids, Sage Stallone, into the mix.

Meryl Streep

In the film EveningMeryl is joined by her eldest daughter, Mamie Gummer, to portray one character, 50 years apart. So, though they have no scenes together, it’s easy to see where Mamie get’s her inspiration and talent from. Meryl’s younger daughter, Grace Gummer, took after big sis Mamie, and portrayed a younger version of her mother in the film The House Of Spirits.

Demi Moore

In a movie about the past and the present, Rumer Willis was still too young to play her mother’s past-self, but instead played her little sister in the movie Now and Then.

The following year they teamed back up to play a mother-daughter duo in Striptease, the film where a FBI secretary loses custody of her daughter and has to become a stripper.

Bruce Willis

Rumer just loves to play her parents’ child! In Hostage she is Amanda Talley, the daughter of a police negotiator, AKA her real-life pops, Bruce Willis.

Tom Hanks

In The Great Buck Howard, Colin Hanks plays a man who defies his father, Tom Hanks, and leaves law school so he can pursue his dream of becoming a writer in L.A.

Billy Ray Cyrus

I don’t think anyone can forget Bill Ray and Miley were on Hannah Montana together, but we’ve got to add it to the list, because if it wasn’t for Billy’s old fame from “Achey Breaky Heart”, we wouldn’t have the Miley Cyrus we do today. So, thanks for that. –
