Four people died yesterday after a Toyota Wish they were travelling collided head-on with an Eagleliner bus along the Harare-Masvingo highway. Chief police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the accident saying that the driver of the Toyota Wish lost control of his vehicle and in a bid to regain control, ended up under the bus.

“On a sad note, an accident has happened on the Harare-Masvingo road. A Toyota Wish went off the road and when the driver tried to bring the vehicle back into the road,” he collided with an Eagleliner bus.

“The Toyota Wish is currently trapped under the bus and four people have died on the spot. The Fire Brigade came to assist in removing people who are trapped in the vehicle under the bus,” she said.
Snr Asst Comm Charamba also urged motorists to be cautious while on the road.
