ZIFA are set to get about $40 000 for television rights of the Warriors’ 2017 Nations Cup qualifier against Guinea at Rufaro on Sunday. The Confederation of African Football signed a multi-million-dollar deal with France-based company SportFive for all the organisation’s tournaments.

The company then sells the rights to individual companies, with part of the proceeds from the rights going to the host country.

Associations are paid a minimum of $40 000 for their home games if televised live by CAF.

The Warriors’ match against Guinea is live on SuperSport.

A statement released by the company in Lagos said it had acquired the rights for eight matches including that of Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia in the second phase fixtures.

Meanwhile, Swaziland captain Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze is among the top goal scorers in the ongoing AFCON 2017 qualifiers ahead of the visit of Malawi.

The left-footed winger has two goals in his account following his brace during the Group L opening match against Guinea played in Morocco where the nation’s pride won 2-1.

Leading the chasing pack is Tunisian striker Yassine Chikaoui with three goals.

Also on two goals are Djaminy from Cape Verde and Hilal Soudani from Algeria.

A majority of the players, including Zimbabwe’s Cuthbert Malajila and Khama Billiat, have one goal ahead of this weekend’s games.

The Mbabane Swallows winger will on Sunday carry the hopes of Sihlangu when they take on Malawi at the Somhlolo National Stadium.

The Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga-led charges will be without the trio of Sandile Hlatshwako, Zweli ‘Mlilo’ Nxumalo and Siboniso ‘Rocco’’Malambe in their quest to qualify for their first ever AFCON finals to be held in Gabon in two years time.
