TRIANGLE coach Kelvin Kaindu says they are surprised to find themselves among the early pacesetters and they won’t be putting themselves under pressure ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Harare City at Gibo.

The Lowveld side suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost away to Flame Lily but the Zambian mentor said they were bound to lose a match one of the days.

The 1-0 defeat at Larfarge became the team’s first defeat in 14 games in all competitions since Kaindu joined the modest side towards the end of last season.

“We are approaching the season with a bit of caution and our main aim is to avoid a scenario where we fight relegation.

“We are not putting ourselves under pressure as we just want to remain consistent.

“It is normal in football to lose a match and we knew it would come and everybody is now okay despite the loss.

“We have played 14 games since last year and this was our first defeat. What is important, after a defeat, is to bounce back and we are playing Harare City one of the title contenders,” he said.

The former Highlanders coach said it would be a tough game against the Sunshine Boys.

“I think they are one of the teams that were very active on the market in terms of preparations and was ahead of most of the teams. But it is a game we should just approach as any other game and no special treatment for Harare City.

“We have enjoyed playing at home,” said Kaindu. The team’s duo of Praise Tonha and Jimmy Dzingai are still nursing injuries and having light training.

Harare City coach Taurai Mangwiro said they have set their targets.

“People would want to rate us highly but we have given ourselves a top six finish. I am not saying we don’t want the league title but we have to be realistic,” he said.
