SCOTT Vincent of Zimbabwe seized the outright lead by two shots when he returned home with a second round six-under-par 66 at the Windsor Park Golf Club in Bangkok after the second round yesterday.

Vincent managed to leave behind overnight co-leader Australian Cory Crawford, who settled for second place after battling to a 68 while four other players, including ADT regular Annop Tangkamolprasert of Thailand, shared third on 136.

A total of 81 players made the halfway cut set at seven-over-par 151 at the Windsor Park Golf Club. Players who finished inside top 19 and ties will make it into the Final Stage of the Qualifying School next week.

At the Springfield Royal Country Club, Japan’s Masashi Sakikawa posted a second round two-under-par 69 to lead by one shot on eight-under-par 134 total. Korean B G Chae fired a superb 63 to move into second place while American John Catlin stayed four shots off the pace in third. Australian Junseok Lee held on to his overnight lead after posting a second consecutive five-under-par 66 for a two-day total of 10-under-par 132 at Course C and D of Imperial Lakeview while Thailand’s Suradit Yongcharoenchai continued his fine form by signing for a second round six-under-par 65 to extend his lead at the Qualifying School First Stage held at the Imperial Lakeview Golf Club (Course A and B) in Hua Hin on Thursday.
