has not fully recovered to play a competitive match since then.
Back then it was reported that Rambanapasi had suffered a crack on the meniscus, which is the part that acts like the shock absorber for the knee.
It has been a painstaking wait for Rambanapasi as he had been undergoing rehabilitation since then.
A former skipper at CAPS United, Rambanapasi has also served Dynamos and Gunners.
But for now, the future looks gloomy for the player as he faces an uncertain future.
“I am waiting for my doctors in the United Kingdom to give me a report on the final check-up.
“Right now I am waiting to hear their instructions if is could still play or not.
“But I am just hoping and praying that I will make a comeback one day,” said Rambanapasi.
During the mid-season break Rambanapasi came off the bench in a practise match against Division One side Twalumba but failed to last the distance.
The player struggled to hold the ball as he played with a pronounced limp.
Rambanapasi started his football career at Rufaro Rovers in the mid-1990s before he joined the CAPS United junior teams in 1997.
He played his first game for the Green Machine in 1999 and his glory days came with winning the championship in 2004.
Rambanapasi dumped CAPS United during an ill-fated trip to the UK in September 2005 but returned to the side two years later.
The player won several caps for the Warriors and was one of the outstanding players in the league in 2010 where he set to grace the Soccer Star of the Year calendar.
However, Rambanapasi suffered the misfortune of being disqualified by the sports journalists who were on the selection panel for his alleged misconduct during an abandoned BancABc Sup8r semi-final against Highlanders.
