Pray for the blessing of the Lord to manifest

Bishop B. Manjoro Dunamis
Today I will talk to you about the blessing of the Lord. I have called it the blessing of the Lord to distinguish it from all other blessings. Things like cars or houses are generally referred as blessings, but they are different from the blessing of the Lord that is being mentioned here. The blessing of the Lord is the one that causes other blessings to follow or manifest. You need it friend; you need it on your life!

“The blessing of the Lord, it makes rich and He adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10: 22. The blessing of the Lord is embedded inside a person, therefore is part of the person and cannot be taken away by any person.

Though it is invisible, it sticks with a person, it endures and is permanent unlike the tangible blessings. Though thrown into the pit by brothers and falsely thrown into prison the blessing of the Lord could not be taken away from Joseph. What are you going through right now at work, family and in your business? Let the blessing of the Lord shine on you, O hallelujah!

You must realise that though the blessing of the Lord is inside a person it brings blessings like houses, businesses or cars. What it means is that the blessing of the Lord incubates the blessings that manifest and are seen by people. Peace, joy, wisdom, divine protection, good health are all incubated in the blessing of the Lord.

It therefore, hints that a wise person doesn’t run after blessings, but after the blessing of the Lord. When you run after it all other blessings will run after you, Matthew 6:33, O I like it I like it!

Our reference verse has clearly taught us that the blessing of the Lord makes one to be rich. When you have the blessing of the Lord, doors of opportunities will open for you. Apart from bringing material benefits, the blessing of the Lord brings other things necessary for life. The blessing of the Lord fights for you.

Like we noticed earlier about Joseph and his brothers the blessing of the Lord divinely protects no-matter who or what rises against you. Joseph’s brothers hated him because he had the blessing of the Lord.

At one point they planned to kill him, but his brothers Reuben and Judah were against the idea and Judah suggested to sell him to the Ishmaelite traders (Genesis 37: 22, 27). I believe it was not because that Reuben and Judah’s hearts were good, but the blessing of the Lord that was resident in Joseph fought and prevented him to be killed. It’s also amazing why the traders diverted their money and decided to buy him. This shows that the blessing of the Lord protects a person.

The blessing of the Lord makes some people to make decisions in your favour. Some may argue that being sold into slavery is not a blessing, but I want you to understand that Joseph’s place of impact was Egypt, so when he was sold, he was actually being promoted. Very often the enemy may think that he is fixing and demoting you, but in essence will be directing you to your destiny.

In the Book of Esther, we see Haman, the enemy of the Jews planning to exterminate all the Jews in the kingdom of Ahasuerus. Haman lied to king Ahasuerus that the Jews were not abiding by the Persian laws (Esther 3: 8).

Subsequently, letters were sent to all provinces, giving instruction to kill all Jews, young and old, at a specified date. Queen Esther, a Jew who was married to king Ahasuerus for five years went into the king’s court against the law. According to the law, she could only be spared if the king finds favour upon her.

The king found favour upon her and later granted her, her request. However, Haman was killed because he was evil and plotted to kill innocent people. Here, it is clear that the blessing of the Lord was upon Esther and the Jews and it prevented the entire Jews from being eliminated. In reality, the blessing of the Lord brings favour in a person’s life and it can save your whole family, community and nation.

When you are carrying the blessing of the Lord, you need to be careful with the people or friends you play with. Some are jealous of the blessing in you. The story of Jacob and Esau shows that the blessing of the Lord always has an enemy that fights it.

Jacob received the blessing of the Lord through Isaac his father, but Esau was angry. Esau had sold his birthright, but he was angry when Jacob received the blessing and he was determined to kill Jacob. However, just like Joseph, Jacob carried something big which the enemy couldn’t destroy.

I urge you to pray for the blessing of the Lord because, blessings can vanish, but the blessing of the Lord is permanent and will bring greater things. Though Jacob went to his uncle Laban empty-handed, he came back with a lot of wealthy, which were a product of the blessing of the Lord in him. You will not leave this year, empty, in the name of Jesus!

The blessing of the Lord and its packages of blessings on you today as you read this article. Let it bring prosperity and success and favour.

Let the power it carries to transform adverse situations; to move mountains and to protect; to move tail to be the head; the lowly to be exalted work on your life this day in Jesus name. “For with God, all things are possible” (Mark 10: 27).
