The golfer bagged his third title of the season after he shot 70, 69, 70 and 74 after four rounds to snatch the title from Scott Vincent.
Nguru was a happy man after his third tournament and wants to maintain his good form.
“I am so happy with this achievement. I was looking forward to this game and I had lots of practice and my game has improved. I now look forward to the next games and I will keep on working hard. It is good that my season has started on a high note,” said Nguru.
The Chapman golfer has struck a rich vein of form this season and only missed two of the high profile amateur tournaments. Nguru has won the Julius Robinson, the Midlands Amateur Championships and the Matabeleland Amateur.
Defending champion Scott Vincent was second after he carded 70, 76, 66 and 73.
Vincent was one to beat going into the tournamen.
Nyasha Muyambo, who is playing decent golf, settled for third place. The lanky golfer fired rounds of 74, 68, 76 and 71 to finish third.
Matthew Ncube could not ride on home turf advantage this time around as he came fourth.
Royal Harare club champion Kyle Basson was fifth.
Basson is improving with each outing.
He carded rounds of 77, 72, 76 and 69.
“The game was good and I now look forward to the up-and-coming tournaments. The course was in a good condition except that the greens were tricky,” Basson said.
