The all new VW Golf which is expected to premiere in South Africa soon, epitomises automotive excellence with a new TSI engine range, enhanced safety features and improved driver assistance systems. Powered by the next-generation TSI engines, a substantial increase in torque and improved fuel consumption, the Golf truly shines on the road.

With driving innovations like Active Info Display, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Traffic Alert, Trailer Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with Front Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Golf is reborn and will make you fall in love with driving again. In a world where technology is evolving every day, the future-ready features available in Golf allude to the start of a new era for Volkswagen.

Whether you want to make phone calls, listen to your favourite tracks, navigate to your destination or plug in your smartphone to App-Connect, Golf has made high-tech easier. The optional 9,2 inch Discover Pro touchscreen features Gesture Control which senses your hand movements and reacts even before you touch. Now you can swipe through menu options, tracks and browse radio stations with a swish of your finger. It’s clear that the new Golf is more than just a car – it’s the future of driving. Golf features new LED-technology, creating a modern appearance that will make you look good while turning corners and heads. Keeping the Golf firmly on the road are alloy wheels that come standard across the range: the Trendline features 15 inch Lyon alloys, while the Comfort line receives new 16 inch Hita alloys.

An optional R-Line Exterior Package is also available, including an R-Line front bumper with C-signature air curtains and rear bumper with integrated diffuser. Sill extensions in gloss black, pronounced roof spoiler and exclusive 17” Madrid alloys complete the authoritative look of the R-Line Package. The Golf GTI is aerodynamically fine-tuned with C-signature air curtains while retaining the familiar red chrome strip that extends into the new standard LED headlights featuring high-beam light assist. The aggressive styling is emphasised by the red GTI accents and honeycomb grille design.

At the back, the rear bumper sports a new integrated diffuser with GTI-styled twin pipe exhaust that exudes power. Dark red LED taillights with flowing indicator lights and all-new striking 18’’ Milton Keynes alloys complete the turbocharged look.  There’s a first time for everything. Golf GTD is making its debut in South Africa and the turbocharged diesel is coming to a fast lane near you. Experience a shot of pure adrenaline with 130kW of power and 350Nm of torque. With the performance of a GTI and the fuel economy of a diesel, it’s the perfect combination.

Guaranteed to turn heads, the Golf GTD epitomises sportiness and dominance with its sleek design. The Golf GTD’s interior is dressed to impress with Vienna leather sports seats, to the stainless-steel pedals and stylish 18 inch Sevilla alloy wheels. For the journeys that continue long after the sun has set, the Golf GTD’s LED headlights and LED taillights with flowing indicator lights contribute to exceptional visibility in distinctive Golf design.

The Golf GTD is the younger, fuel-efficient brother of the GTI with a fuel combined cycle of only 5,3L / 100km. So, with the performance of a GTI and the fuel economy of a diesel, it’s the perfect combination. The new Golf R is the perfect formula for explosive power and performance, adding up to a spine-tingling explosion of driving pleasure. Thanks to the turbo-charged TSI 7-speed DSG engine with 4MOTION all-wheel drive, the Golf R is ready to unleash 213kW of explosive power. With standard LED headlights, featuring high-beam light assist, a four-pipe exhaust system, Active Info Display and Panoramic Sunroof, the Golf R is unapologetically fierce, demanding respect wherever it goes.
