LOCAL firm, Natural Air is expected to launch new elegant Samsung Maldives Inverter Air Conditioners in Harare tomorrow after securing local distributorship from the global technological giant recently, an official has said. The deal makes Natural Air the sole distributor of Samsung air conditioners and spares in the country. Sales and marketing executive Mr Patson Ndhlovu said the new air conditioners were coming with smart saver inverter technology which is ideal for both industrial and domestic use.
It saves up to 40 percent of electricity compared to the conventional non inverter units.

“This is a welcome development for our customers and the economy at large taking into consideration that world over, people are embracing energy saving technologies.
These aircons come in handy as they will substantially reduce our customers’ power bills,” said Mr Ndhlovu yesterday.

“The inverter technology enables the air conditioner to vary its power output and maintains room temperature at the set levels.
“This is a departure from the non-inverter models which maintain the temperature by continuously switching power on and off, and in the process, consuming more electricity.”
He added that the Samsung Maldives inverter air conditioners are eco-friendly as they emit much less carbons into the environment.

They use gases not harmful to the ozone which is consistent with the Montreal Protocol.
Some of the features of the Samsung Maldives Inverter air conditioners include high speed cooling capacity that enables the room to be cooled or heated much faster than the conventional aircons.

“Samsung smart saver technology operates the air conditioner automatically in the least possible time to cool or heat the room thus again saving electricity in the process.’’
Natural Air brand manager Mr Edwin Majakwara said he was excited with the development.

“As Natural Air, we are proud to add Samsung to our existing portfolio of air conditioning brands that include LG and Rowa,” said Mr Majakwara in a statement.
Natural Air is the leading distributor of air conditioning and refrigeration units and spares in Zimbabwe and has been servicing the local market since 1995.
