DYNAMOS have been dealt a huge blow ahead of their tricky Castle Lager Premiership match against Ngezi Platinum at Baobab this Sunday with vice captain and defender Ocean Mushure ruled out because of suspension. The veteran defender, who converted a penalty as DeMbare cruised to a victory following half a dozen matches without a win will not be part of the team that will make the short trip to Ngezi.Mushure accumulated three yellow cards having been booked in DeMbare’s matches against Mutare City, Bulawayo City and the weekend’s clash against Harare City.

Although Dynamos have struggled for goals, Mushure and his partners in defence who include Obey Mwerahari, Godknows Murwira and Marshal Machazane have been consistent.

At a time the coach has been chopping and changing other departments seeking for a winning formula, Mutasa has not tampered with his defence.

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa may have to turn to Carlos Rusere or Kudzanai Nyakasaka who are both comfortable at left back.

Team manager Richard Chihoro, however, acknowledged yesterday that they would miss their in-form defender.

“This season our disciplinary record in terms of cautions have been good. We have accumulated very few cards compared to last season and it is encouraging.

“But we will definitely miss Ocean. He is a good player, inspires the young ones on the field of play, hardworking and is always involved whether it is venturing upfront or defending,” said Chihoro.

The Glamour Boys are walking with a spring in their step after they tasted victory following a barren six-match spell.

Mutasa challenged his side to build from their 2-1 triumph over Harare City at Rufaro last Sunday.

They face a tough test against their former coach Tonderai Ndiraya who is now in charge of Ngezi Platinum.

Since the former DeMbare midfielder took over the reins at Ngezi in June they have been playing well and have risen into a respectable 11th place.

Ngezi Platinum also boast a number of former Dynamos players who include Walter Mukanga, Partson Jaure and Washington Pakamisa.

Apart from Mushure the Premier Soccer League have also suspended How Mine striker Kuda Mushure who will miss the derby match against Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday, Chapungu winger Xolani Ncube, Bulawayo City defender Terence Majo and Tsholotsho midfielder Bruno Madanhire will also miss their teams games this week.
