PRETORIA. — Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane feels the constant spotlight on star trio “CBD” is disrespectful to his other players, who also play a pivotal role. The combination of Leonardo Casto, Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly have made countless headlines this season, scoring a combined 31 goals between them, yet Mosimane says he does not enjoy always talking about them, arguing that his other players deserve special mention as well.

“You know the CBD . . . sometimes I don’t like talking about the CBD, because then it’s like saying the other guys are not part of the game,” the Downs coach told reporters.

“Against Ajax, it was more about the defence than the CBD, let’s be honest. You can talk about the CBD, I don’t talk about the CBD . . . there are other important players in the team like Kekana, Langerman, and many others.”Another key player Bongani Zungu has been sidelined for months, and Mosimane confirmed his star midfielder will play no further part this season.

“No, Zungu is out . . . Zungu is done,” he said.
“The cast is off . . . he still has a stiff ankle and knee from the cast, but Zungu is done.”
Sundowns’ goalless draw against Ajax Cape Town left them four points ahead of Bidvest Wits with four matches left in the season — a satisfactory lead for Mosimane, who admits he can’t wait for the season to end.

“I said to myself, ‘Four games to go, four points — I think I can take that’,” he said.
“It was the same position I was when we went to play Polokwane City . . . but you don’t know what is going to come.
“But I am happy the games are getting shorter and shorter (less and less) — I wish it was the second-last game!”

It does not get any easier for the Brazilians, as they face Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs in their next clash today.
Meanwhile, Cape Town All Stars have signed former Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe international midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha.

Nengomasha spent a highly successful decade with Amakhosi, winning just about every domestic trophy on offer with the Soweto club and also being named the PSL Player, and Players’ Player of the Year. The former Black Aces Harare midfield hardman also represented Bidvest Wits and Mpumalanga Black Aces, and was a key member of the Zimbabwean national team for many years.

“We are very pleased to confirm that Tinashe has signed for Cape Town All Stars,” said club CEO Elasto Kapoweza Lungu. “Bringing in a player of this calibre shows that the club means business, and that we have great ambition.

“Tinashe will bring great experience to the team, he will bring leadership qualities, and he will boost the options we have in the centre of the park. We welcome Tinashe to Igugu Lekapa and trust that his stay may be a successful one.”

KickOff.com have run the rule over all the major goalscorers in the Absa Premiership to determine who has the best strike rate.

The goals-scored column is an easy way to look at the players who have scored the most goals, but which players score the most often? Strike rates, games-to-goals or minutes-to-goals ratios are a way of looking at which players score with the greatest frequency, according to how many minutes they have actually played.

Over the course of a season, which player has been the most effective? One who scores 10 goals in 25 games, or one who scores eight goals in 12?
Here are the PSL players with the best strike rates (minutes played / goals scored) in the Absa Premiership so far in the 2015 /16 season.
