FC Platinum midfielder Winston Mhango has called on his teammates to ensure they remain focused to collect maximum points when they face Chapungu at Ascot this afternoon.

Despite getting into this last game of the season with a two-point lead over fellow title-chasers Dynamos, Mhango believes they have to be at their best so that they can be crowned champions.

“The most important thing is to remain focused at this stage, it’s the last game of the season. I think the most important thing is to come out with a positive result, we need to come out with a win. If we cannot win this game then everything that we did from the beginning of the season will not count for much, everyone knows what is at stake,” he said.

Similar sentiments were also echoed by coach Norman Mapeza who said despite going into this game with one hand on the trophy, they have to win to be crowned champions.

“We might say one hand is on the trophy but we cannot talk of complacency at this stage of the season otherwise we are going to lose it. The most important thing is for everybody to remain concentrated, everybody to be committed, everybody to be disciplined, everybody to have that desire to say guys we can go to Chapungu and do it, it’s all about hard work,’’ he said.
