BOXING star Charles Manyuchi has promised Singaporean fans “real boxing” and mocked Qudratillo Abduqaxorov’s previous opponents as the build up to next weekend’s WBC Silver welterweight title fight heats up.

The 27-year-old Manyuchi refused to be intimidated by Abduqaxorov’s enticing 10-0-0 record at a Press conference held in Singapore yesterday. Manyuchi defends his WBC belt against the boxer from Uzbekistan at the OCBC Arena in Singapore on March 25.

“Singaporean boxing fans should come in numbers and witness real boxing. I am the real champion not the Tanzanian boxer he beat the last time out.

“Those are rotten boxers,” Manyuchi bragged.

Abduqaxorov’s latest victory was against Idd Pialari of Tanzania in a non title fight held in Singapore last month. Manyuchi’s manager Chris Malunga also vowed that his boxer would defend Africa’s pride, at the same Press conference.

“We have got the pride of Africa to protect here. We are taking the fight seriously and we have prepared for this in the last six months.

“Fans will not be disappointed,” said Malunga. — www.sportszone.co.zw.
