Longcheng Plaza Mall occupancy currently stands at about 70 percent, an official has said. Spokesperson for Long Cheng Plaza Mr Mervyn Zhang said almost three quarters of its 108 shops have been taken up. “Our occupancy is about 70 percent for shops, offices and other facilities. Most of the shops havebeen taken up. We have about 53 offices in total,” said Mr Zhang.

Most businesses are moving from the central business district citing high rentals and congestion and this has positioned the Long Cheng Plaza as a convenient alternative. He said shop space is still available for coffee shops, ice-cream shops and fast food restaurants. Office space measuring 36 square metres and 72 square metres and warehouse space is also available.

The mall, which opened two years ago offers a wide range of products and services, leisure shopping, entertainment, boutiques and most the space has been taken up, mostly by locals. It also has surgeries, pharmacies, banks, a gym, children’s amusement park as well as supporting warehouses and a large parking area.
